How to beat Labyrinth Sentinel
Before delving into the guide, it's important to address a potential glitch in this boss fight. It appears that regardless of your actions, the two crystal cubes on the roaming cube located at the far right end of the boss arena may be inaccessible. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to shoot them off while the cube was still shining purple, indicating that the cubes are still active. However, during my exploration, after evading enemy attacks and navigating the arena, the unexpected occurred. Suddenly, a prompt popped up, indicating that the boss had been defeated.
Upon entering the arena, one cube will immediately start advancing towards you. Be prepared by equipping your firearm and swiftly shooting off the two crystals that appear on each side of the cube. Afterward, quickly roll towards the left side and patiently wait for the cube to roll over you. Rest assured, it won't cause any harm, as there will now be a gap in the cube large enough for you to fit through comfortably.
This particular area will play a vital role in your success against the boss. It provides an advantageous position from which you can effectively engage with nearly all the cubes in the environment, including both floating and ground-based ones. However, it's crucial to remain vigilant regarding the small projectiles launched by the cubes. You have the option to either shoot them down or dodge them, depending on your preferred strategy. Additionally, keep an ear out for the distinct sound cues indicating the presence of large transparent cubes, as they will require your attention and response.
Make it a priority to shoot down as many crystals as possible. When the moving cube approaches, engage in a cat-and-mouse game, skillfully evading its movements while swiftly returning to your previous advantageous position. By maintaining this dynamic strategy, you can effectively manoeuvre through the encounter and maximise your chances of success. Once all the visible cubes have been eliminated, it's time to get going. Position yourself at the edge of the small area and patiently await the arrival of the moving cube. Once it reaches your location, swiftly proceed down the hallway, but refrain from entering the right hallway immediately. Instead, wait for the second moving cube to approach, and once it does, quickly follow it to its turning area.
Regardless, promptly shoot off the crystals from this cube and roll towards the first right turn in the turning area, as this spot is safe from harm. Once the cube moves away, proceed to the right, but exercise caution and avoid jumping the gap. This spot serves as another safe location where the cube cannot crush you. Proceed to clear the remaining crystals from the moving cube in the subsequent area, and if you do exactly as this guide says, the Labyrinth Sentinel will become a thing of the past.
