FAQs

What does the Culligan man do? ›

As part of the standard water test, he'll take a sample of your tap water - probably from the kitchen sink – and use the Culligan testing kit to see how hard or soft your water is, as well as look for any impurities, like iron or dissolved solids.

Is Culligan water purified? ›

Our second type of water is what we call purified water. That's municipal water that we run through carbon filtration, reverse osmosis and deionization, so we take out all the mineral content in it. Just like any of our other waters, we run them through UV and ozonation and 1-micron filtration.

Is Culligan Water actually clean? ›

Absolutely. A reverse osmosis (RO) system employs a number of processes to produce great-tasting, low-sodium drinking water. An RO system eliminates around 97% of total dissolved solids (TDS) like salt and sodium from your water.

Is reverse osmosis water good for you? ›

The reverse osmosis membrane has extremely high filtration precision, with pores as small as 0.0001 micrometers. The water treated through RO is healthy, safe, and pure, and stored in a water tank for convenient access and direct consumption.

Is Culligan Water any better than tap water? ›

Culligan Bottled Water exceeds or meets every U.S. and all state health requirements. The U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) provides regulations for bottled water as a food product, compared to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) which sets regulations for municipal water.

What is so special about Culligan Water? ›

The benefits of Culligan Water include:

The highest quality water and water treatment products and services in the industry. Cleaner, better tasting water to improve your life at home and at the office.

What is the purest water to drink? ›

Distilled water: This type of water has been purified to the level that all of its minerals and salt have been removed.

What does Culligan Regen do? ›

Instead of the resin beads needing to be replaced or manually cleaned, your water softener does this work for you through a process called regeneration. During regeneration, a brine solution – held in a second tank – flows into the main softener tank, rinsing the resin beads and cleaning out the hardness molecules.

How does Culligan treat water? ›

Culligan Bottled Water Explained

As water enters Culligan's facility, it immediately passes through two parallel carbon filters that remove chlorine and total dissolved solids. The water is then softened to remove hard-water-causing minerals, like calcium and magnesium, to prevent scaling inside the cooler.

Does Culligan remove bacteria? ›

Culligan's UV Disinfection System within its whole home UV water purification solution can be added to your filter or softener to eliminate 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, mold and other waterborne contaminants such as protozoa.
