Recycling: Public Health Department handles recycling of plastic, tin, aluminum, steel and yard waste, as well as clear, green and brown glass. Hours at the DPW garage through September. Haverhill identification is required. Curbside recycling: Paper goods or newspapers, cardboard boxes and cartons, office paper, magazines, directories and junk mail. Break down and flatten all boxes to fit in paper bags or inside cardboard boxes that can be taken. Recyclables are picked up every other week, depending on the red or blue cycle.
